Better Broadband voucher scheme
The Better Broadband Scheme is a Government initiate to support the take-up of broadband in rural areas. The scheme aims to ensure that anybody who is currently unable to receive at least 2Mb/s can purchase an improved service at a cost to them of no more than £400 in the first 12 months. Any costs incurred beyond £400 are covered by the voucher, up to a maximum of £350.
To be eligible for a voucher, you must currently be unable to receive a download speed of at least 2Mb/s. You must also be in an area which isn’t planned to receive fibre broadband services in the next 6-12months. If you are unsure of whether you meet this criteria, please call us, and we’ll be happy to help.
To proceed with an order, you have three options:
1) Pay for the installation directly, with no voucher. This will cost £332.
2) Apply for a voucher and wait for it to be issued – this can take 4-6 weeks. You can then place an order with us. Once received, we will offset the voucher value against your installation charge, leaving a balance of £40 to be paid by you.
3) Apply for a voucher now, and then immediately place an order with us. Assuming you are awarded the voucher, we will offset the value as noted in option two. Please note that if you are not awarded a voucher, you will be liable to pay the full cost of installation yourself.
All values include VAT.
To apply, please complete the form below. Note that this is a direct submission to the Government’s voucher team – we do not see its content and cannot advise you of the progress or success of the application.
